Click the song titles below to listen to live recordings of the Campbell's Jazz Soup Dixieland Quartet playing at a backyard party. The instrumentation is clarinet, trumpet, banjo, and tuba. We replace the guitar and string bass in the swing version of our band with the banjo and tuba to achieve the Dixieland sound. We can add other instruments like sax, trombone, piano, and drums and we can throw in some vocals too. These samples were recorded live using a small recorder and a single microphone. As a result, the balance, reverb, and levels are not studio quality and there is background noise, but the spirit, musicianship, and virtuosity of the band shines through.
